Nutrition

All the meals are included: breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. To meet the nutritional needs of your child, we serve mostly organic, home-cooked, nutritious meals. Milk, fresh fruits, and vegetables are included in every meal. Rice & beans are a Brazilian tradition and a big hit with the children. We’re part of I.C.R.I Family Support Network, a program from the California Department of Education that sponsors and supervise facilities for the nutrition quality of meals offered to the children.

Immunizations/sick policy/sanitation

All children attending Little Lion P&C are required to provide an updated immunization record prior to the first day of attendance. Frequent sanitation of toys and play areas, sleeping cots, cooking areas, etc are performed daily. Children are required to stay
home if they are showing signs of a infections disease and can’t participate in the activities. A complete Sick Policy information sheet is available to you upon enrollment.

Safety

Safety is very important to us. We make regular walk through to make sure all the areas are in good condition, removing hazards like sharp corners or small objects that can become a choking hazard. We perform fire drills and an earthquake drill every 6
months.
